Flaunting a vivid bright Orange suede upper, the bright model is offset with Black accents adorning the side panels via its three-stripe branding and leather heel tab. Additionally, Dark Brown hits are utilized for the lining and laces.

The adidas ZX Flux is receiving its first polka dot edition with this women’s release of the deconstructed ZX 8000. The kicks are stepping on a white sole for the release with a black textile upper that is adorned with white dots. The kicks are currently finding their way to adidas dealers like Bern based Titolo.

To celebrate the famous sports shoe named after American tennis icon Stan Smith 50 years ago, Adidas opened a pop-up store in London that was a scale replica of the iconic footwear’s shoebox. Apart from being able to purchase limited edition shoes, customers were also able to take part in an interactive experience which made use of 3D-printing.

3D Systems Cube printers lined the walls and gave customers a chance to personalize their lace locks. One of the most notable experiences was the ability to “Stan yourself,” a preview of an app by the same name that allows users to put their own portrait and signature in the place of Smith’s portrait and signature.

More than 40 million pairs of Stan Smiths have already been sold, making it the top-selling brand in the history of Adidas. Unlike the usual experience of going to buy a pair of shoes however, the sports brand made sure to give their customers an experience they are unlikely to ever forget.

adidas Originals Collective is a new retail experience that will live within Footaction doors, a unique concept for both brands,” said Simon Atkins, Head of Sport Style Division at adidas Region North America. “adidas Originals Collective will give us a place to test new products and concepts that will come to life in the best possible way.
As with the ideology of adidas Originals, the personalization of the Collective makes it possible to not only purchase exclusive product from the brand, but to also customize their socks laces and shoe accessories. The space has been outfitted with an interactive digital feel, live music, and art, all of which puts a different spin on the shopping experience.

With the first adidas Originals Collective by Footaction installation launching this weekend at the Willowbrook mall in Houston and others slated for Baltimore and ATL, it’ll be something to keep an eye on this year.

His name is Dikembe Mutombo. During the 92/93 season, adidas first launched the ‘Mutombo’. After two decades, it looks like we can expect the release of the retro high-top this fall/winter in three colorways, the classic black/red/white, as well as a black/white/purple, and blue/white/red.
